  The Book of Habakkuk

I don’t know if you ever heard a sermon from Habakkuk in your life before, but this book is very relevant for us today as we see rising terrorism and horrible persecution of Christians around the world, terrible injustice and growing moral decay in our own nation.

In this book we see a believer struggling with similar suffering and sadness. It’s a dark time for God’s people. Where is God in this? Why is this happening? What is God doing in this? Is He indifferent? Does He not care? Why are my prayers unanswered? How do I come to God with it all? These are all real questions in the midst of real suffering brought to a real God.

This series will hopefully grow us to learn how to dialogue with God better in the midst of it all, how to trust and see Him clearer in the darkness of our questions, whether personally, nationally or globally and most importantly, how the Gospel connects all the dots in between and gives us the courage to keep following Him closer…even in the dark.
